Paulo - so well captured. Our mental paths have been similarly shaped by careers in technology. I've been clear for some time that it is simply not feasible to expect laws to keep up with the pace of technology change. Law making cannot move this way in a democracy. Expecting otherwise is naive and/or ignorant. Risk and outcome-based regulation is perhaps the only reasonable and feasible path forward.

Nov 22, 6 am Eastern Time: As of a few hours ago, Sam Altman has been reinstated as OpenAI’s CEO after five days of chaos in the company. I am still asking questions about governance at OpenAI and regulation and liability for the industry at large. Is this the end of the saga or just a new chapter?
